This course aims to increase students' awareness of how the skills and information learned at university apply to the real world outside of the classroom. As a result, we are seeking to facilitate student engagement with the public and private sectors during the students' time in the degree. These students are 1st and 2nd year undergraduate students in their beginning year of study. The virtual volunteer opportunity will prepare them better to gain exposure to real life communication and marketing problems in the workforce.

Potential projects can be Extensive knowledge of Object-Oriented Design, architecture and design patterns Clarify business requirements by working with business analysts and end users create high-level and detailed design specifications to address user goals; formulate plans – outlining steps required to develop programs for design deliverables • Participate in peer-reviewed requirements and design Estimate assigned work effort and be accountable for deliverables and completion dates Analyze, review and modify programs to increase operating efficiency • Follow and improve established software delivery lifecycles, programming standards and frameworks

Psychology Micro Work Integrated Learning Project
PSYC1103
The Department of Psychology at Mount Royal University is seeking to increase our students’ awareness of how the skills and information learned at university apply to the world outside of the classroom. As a result, we are seeking to facilitate student engagement with the public and private sectors during the students’ time in the degree. The cohort consists primarily of students in the first term of their first year in the Bachelor of Arts: Psychology. Their knowledge of psychology will be developing throughout the term but can be expected to be rudimentary at the start of the term. Their skill sets will generally include Data search skills: the ability to search the internet, in particular, PscyINFO in a variety of situations. Communication Skills: The ability to communicate at a beginning level on a range of psychological topics. Computer Literacy and Information Retrieval: the ability to use a computerized database to find research and other information related to psychological topics.
