In 2019, RBC Future Launch and Riipen launched a partnership with the goal of increasing access to high-impact work-integrated learning (WIL) opportunities for Canadian post-secondary students Our shared mission: to help prepare learners, particularly those from underserved communities, for the Future of Work. By the end of 2022, the RBC-Riipen partnership has delivered over 27,000 online WIL experiences, to a wide diversity of learners and educational partners across Canada with the potential of delivering over 250,000 by 2026.

Our students have the skills to create and manage organizational process change as well as an understanding of how to gather, document, and communicate stakeholder requirements. Students are well suited to recommend and evaluate solutions, provide quality assurance criteria, perform some data modeling and project management. We are looking to create a first-time mentorship opportunity for our students by pairing them with a skilled business analyst at your company who can mentor and support our students through a small project.

Winter 2026 Workplace Wellness and Health Promotion Placements

The Workplace and Wellness Health Promotion program, facilitated by Centennial College's School of Community and Health Studies, is one of the first graduate certificate programs of its kind in Canada. As such, it enjoys a respected national and international reputation and is recognized by leading employers. The Workplace and Wellness Health Promotion program will prepare students to promote the total well-being of individuals and groups within corporate and community contexts. If you have a health and wellness related project, bring on one or more students to be your interns for 14-weeks to help. Students are available for 462 hours of placement over 14 weeks, beginning January 2025. The placements are on an unpaid basis. Strategic Marketing Engagement
This experience offers industry professionals the opportunity to collaborate with marketing students who are eager to apply their strategic thinking and creativity to real-world challenges. Learners will engage in drafting marketing materials and participating in promotional activities, such as attending the Canada Outdoor Farm Show. By working on these projects, students will enhance their skills in branding, content creation, and outreach strategies, delivering tangible results that align with the company's marketing goals.

Given the high number of requests, messages and requests submitted on Riipen will not be reviewed. All details and questions are discussed in the document below. Program Overview and Partnership Invitation Document This program has been run for 19 cohorts over 7 years and with 200+ partners. We work with 30+ partners every term. We will not be able to respond to messages on Riipen. Almost all questions are answered in the document above. Quick summary: students take this course to develop a software application (web, mobile, desktop, or AI related) for various use cases. Previous examples include: Specialized software for research Software for hospital teams, universities, non-profits Mobile apps for finding travelers in a specific community Web-based application for connecting a non-profit to volunteers If the project information interests you, please go through the steps mentioned in the document and submit a proposal and mention "Riipen" as how you found about us. After reviewing 300+ proposals, we have created a thorough process to streamline the process for all involved. We will not be able to accept requests on Riipen as the proposals need to be chosen by the students when the term begins. (See timeline for details). Looking to elevate your organization, and bring it to the next level? Bring on learners from the University of Toronto to be your learner-consultants, in a project-based experience. Learners will work on one main project over the experience of the semester, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools. Learners in this program/experience focus on leadership skills like self-awareness, visioning and goal-setting, performance feedback, creative problem-solving and decision-making, inclusive leadership and negotiation/conflict resolution. They bring their current research-based knowledge to bring insights to resolve your organizational challenges!
